I thought they had a higher capacity battery replacement for the One X.. That gave easy replacement instructions. Makes it sound like it will not only be easy to replace the battery your self, but with readily available options. I'm not really worried about it though. I'm a gambler (though, that doesn't help your situation...)

Re: Early sprint upgrade
It was really easy to get both my lines done. I hut *2, for to the option for phone cancellation then mentioned the upgrade buyup program. My wife was $75 (due at the end of this year) and mine was $115 (due June of next year).
Took about 24 hours for the upgrade to show up. - 05-14-2012, 08:32 AM #30
Re: Early sprint upgrade
My upgrade is Sept. 1, i can upgrade for $45 buying out my contract. I was told any Sprint Corp. store can do it. A 3rd party takes up to 24 hrs. i can keep my current #. I was told this by a Rep. in Dan's Office. Try contacting his office for assistance. I've been dealing with CS Reps for 2 weeks, they all tell me different stories.

Re: Early sprint upgrade
So, I called them and they moved my upgrade up to the 18th. Since my upgrade isn't actually showing in the system until then, am I able to pre-order this phone at best buy?

Re: Early sprint upgrade
No best buy will make you wait until the upgrade shows.

Re: Early sprint upgrade
It may come down to the rep handling your call rather than any set policy. I called *2 and got my upgrade changed from Jan 2013 to - well, last month, now. Took me 30-45 minutes of reminding them how much I'd paid Sprint over the last dozen years, all I wanted was the upgrade I would've gotten if they hadn't canceled gold premier. Eventually they offered me a $105 buy-up; I said no and politely stuck to my story line. Then supervisor said okay, if I'd accept the $105 buy-up they'd give me a $100 credit at the same time. In other words I'd get the upgrade, which took around 15 minutes to show up on my account, for $5.
That worked for me.

Re: Early sprint upgrade
That's an interesting list and fits with what I was told. As I said in one of my posts, the reps I talked to at Sprint initially said that the buy-up was not available in my market, but that the promotion is changing each month. Later a "retentions" rep said that she had no clue as to how "Marketing" had come up with who and where the program was being offered to and it did not seem to make any sense to her. After I got to the right person though, (which did take about 40 min or so) they were able to give it to me. - 05-14-2012, 12:22 PM #36
Re: Early sprint upgrade
I've been known to forget a bill here and there and not remember until I realize my phone isn't working anymore. My upgrade date was not until May 2013.
I say all of this to say that I was still able to do the buy up program and am now eligible to get the new phone this Friday. I know a lot of times most people say that you might have to call a couple of times and talk with a different person. - 05-14-2012, 12:59 PM #37

Re: Early sprint upgrade
I paid $65 for my upgrade, some have gotten it for free if willing to make a big enough fuss and if never used your last "Super-Gold-Premium-Uber-Customer" upgrade before they shut that program down. Turns out I did use my last one of those so was ok with paying for the upgrade this go around. - 05-14-2012, 02:50 PM

Re: Early sprint upgrade
Hmm I'm gonna try again, I did try twice, first time rep had no clue what the program even was then the 2nd rep broke it down for me on who gets selected and what not, I guess it really depends on who you speak to. Can't keep denying me for long can they??....

Re: Early sprint upgrade
Has anyone with a June 1st upgrade been able to get their date pulled in to May 18th for no extra charge? I'm trying to use my final Premier upgrade but I'm not eligible until the 1st. I've had reps tell me I can get it pulled in ON the 18th (14 days out) and another that said I have to wait until the 1st.

Re: Early sprint upgrade
Just got off the phone, seems like I keep getting closer then previously but still no cake. This time Rep said the buy out isn't available for me right now, but possibly next month. My next upgrade is May of 2013, and reading around, other's have been about the same or June of 2013 but still got the buy out, gonna try at least 2-3 times tomorrow and probably do the "give me your supervisor" voice. Rep was super nice though, couldn't do it to her haha. I WANT THIS PHONE SPRINT TAKE MY MONEY!

Re: Early sprint upgrade
I just called sprint and I can only upgrade on the phone that the contract will expire on 6/2013. They will not upgrade my line that is due on 8/2012. I may have to call back and try again.
Oh and just so you all know. You all may want to call in and ask about the loyalty credit. It will not change your upgrade date, but will only renew your contact date. I am able to get 100 off each line if I do that.
so if I can get that and trade in my phone, that will pay the price for a new phone. but you have to do it before you buy the new phone. - 05-24-2012, 02:45 PM #47

Re: Early sprint upgrade
You could buy something like this if you need portable charging. It's a rechargable external battery pack for your phone. With 5200 mAH capacity you would have the equivalent of 2.5 internal batteries (well maybe less, presumably there's some loss in the process).

Re: Early sprint upgrade
Just to confirm, those of you who were successfull in doing a buy out/up did your new two year period start the day you bought your EVO LTE?
My date is October and I can probably make it until then if I have to, but if it is only going to cost me $45 to go ahead with the upgrade I am down with that. (My renewal date currently is 10/12).
