Shipping notification....Who's first?

I just received information from a very reliable internal Sprint source that there is a delay occurring with the shipments of the EVO LTE pre-orders. According to the source, the delay is being caused by HTC and may impact shipments going out as late as May 25th. This may be the cause of the EVO LTE pre-order statuses being changed yesterday for many customers to "back-ordered."

What is not clear yet at this time, if this affects all the pre-orders, or some of the pre-orders. It may be related to the quantities that Sprint will receive from HTC and when. However, there is a reference to software issues being the cause. We will bring you more information as we learn it.

EDIT 11:40 AM MDT: The source believes this will delay the launch to be as late as May 25th. Therefore, it affects stores and third parties as well. Will update with more info as we learn it.

Mine doesn't say that it shipped yet, but it does say "Shipping Method Overnight: Next Day PM". Also, it looks like you must be logged in to your Sprint.com account before you go to the above link.

That is NOT true, it looks like the backorder message has been removed. From I've been told, people were getting the backorder message due to a system default. When an order is not processed after a certain amount of time, the system defaults.

I also [HL]just got a hit on UPS [HL]using my account number as a reference number[/HL][/HL]. Says label was created on 5/12/12!!! Hopefully this means I'll be getting the phone soon! Listed the shipping speed as 2nd Day air. I checked yesterday and searching by reference didn't work.

I also did not recieve the UPS pre-email, like I should have, so not sure what's going on.

What do you mean by using your account number as a reference number?

What do you see if you go to this page with your DM number at the end?

On the UPS tracking site, choose track by reference. Put in your Sprint account number (9 digit number). Press track.

When I go to the Sprint site I see just the shipping method " Overnight: Next Day PM"

The site no longer works for me either. It worked earlier and just told me that it was going to be shipped overnight, priority mail...to the wrong address. Now Sprint can't change it until UPS creates a tracking number for it so when they do, I can contact Sprint to have them contact UPS. I imagine that even if the phone does come out this week, it will be sitting at a house I won't be in until next week. Oh well, these things happen.

Just got off the phone with a Sprint rep she told me the phones were just relesed to the warehouse and should be shipping out late tonight with over night shipping so Mabye wens but probley Thursday

I also double checked my email and did get a UPS MyChoice alert with a delivery date of tomorrow 5/16 between 3pm and 7pm. Got the email around midnight last night. Shipper: SPCS

I do not know if this means anything. If you go to UPS and track by reference, put "Sprint" as the reference. It gives you a tracking number with a delivery of tomorrow. Oh, you have to be logged into your Mychoice UPS account.
