I have noticed in the videos floating around that none of the evo's that have been reviewed have been coming with a set of headphones? What gives? not only would the black and red headphones complete the asthetic package, but the smaller one s on tmobile gets them and the evo doesn't?

I know they are not the best headphones out there, but coming from my crappy white apple ones I was kinda looking forward to them.

can any one confirm whether they are included or not?

The One S you're referring to is the global one. AFAIK there are no U.S. released One series or similar products that include the headphones.

I thought I read somewhere that Beats and Monster dissolved their relationship with the headphones being included with phones from now on.

Pretty sure I read that HTC was no longer including the Beats Headphones. Try Googling it.

Find that unlikely since a Sprint Rep said they will be selling the headphones on launch day... link to where you read that?

Considering they were paid $300,000,000 from HTC (yes that's right, 300 million dollars) for the rights to Beats, I would hope they didn't go under. The reviews I've read say that beats audio does in fact sound better with their headphones. That said, beats is a glorified EQ, and basically a marketing gimmick. It does work, but so would a sub $5 EQ app. I'm going to use my kicker headphones, which are pretty awesome.

They're not really free and I wouldn't want them if they included them. I'm glad they're not putting SD card or headphones in the package. Heck anymore I don't even care if it comes with a USB cable or wall adapter or manuals. Just give me the phone!

Beats by Dr Dre is primarily an Audio Software Company and Monster Cable Manufactured the actual Headphones ... Hence Monster Beats Headphones ... Beats and Monster Cable would not renew their production contract and would be ending their partnership by the end of 2012 ... Beats by Dr. Dre is looking for a company now to manufacture their new line of Headphones now.

HTC decided to stop including beats earbuds (or ibeats, i think that might be their name) with smartphones as they decided the high cost wasn't worth it, people weren't choosing HTC phones because of the high priced beats inside.


HTC may include orther earbuds (but prob not) w/ their smartphones.

per leaked documents, there will not be earbuds of any sort shipped with the evo 4g lte.


i will look for generic earbuds w/ microphone ala the apple ones to partner with my evo lte

I meant like PP posted that Beats was done with Headphones side of things and focusing more on the SW side of things. This plays right into HTC hands to have with their Phones .
