A few simple concerns

I've read all the reviews and previews, and im bouncing between the s3 and evo 4g lte. I have a few concerns...

Battery - I'm a flashaholic, what happens when I hard lock and can't pull the battery? I've only flashed roms on my epic.

S-off - I assume in short order everything will be unlocked and there will be as much access to flashing roms as on my epic now?

Htcdev - been reading of people with hardware problems being SOL because they unlocked and flashed a rom. If I pay the $11/m for sprints insurance and drop the phone, are they going to refuse any repairs because I unlocked it?

Long pressing the power button will work the same. Just like on most tablets that don't have removable batteries either
