    And this of course

I don't mind Best Buy getting them, but Walmart? It's nice to know I am waiting on my phone while some toothless trash has the Evo in their cart next to the pinto beans and canned meat. lol
So what you are saying is that everyone who shops at Walmart is trash. Got you.

After several weeks of waiting with no communication from wirefly or updates I decided to cancel my order this morning. I will most likely stay with Tmo and get the Note or the S3.

I actually have my phone, from sprint, but thats cool. you chose to use a 3rd party to upgrade your service with sprint, and I choose to go directly to the source and purchase my phone from sprint. Hence the chances of me getting mine before the wirefly or best buy orders are most likely better because at that point sprint was the first line of contact. You have to go through wirefly and sprint now. This is why I personally choose to dampen the situation by going directly to the source, I have had too may problems with best buy and radioshack when upgrading or purchasing phones, so I choose to spend a little more money and eliminate one step in hopes of receiving my phone at the earliest date possible. It worked just fine for me. You cant blame sprint for the release dates, they have NO control over customs. They set those realistic dated based on, im sure, a ton of different variables. When the phones got all held up there was nothing anyone at sprint or wirefly or best buy could do...but wait on HTC to get this fixed.

I was just stating that I dont see how its sprints fault that Wirefly wasn't updating you on the status of a phone you purchased through them. But they have now so you have info...that should be a nice piece of mind

We all know this launch has been a disaster for HTC, thanks to our broken *** patent system and the oh so wonderful lawyers at apple. Lets hope this doesn't happen in the future.

Don't worry about him. He is still waiting for his special version of the EVO which according to him "I'm sure a lot of these crappy issues people are having will be fixed when I get my phone, leaving me with an even sweeter taste in my mouth."

I think the pinto beans and canned meat taste better than nothing.

I do wish everyone could get this sweet device so we would have more people discovering cool features that the rest of us may not know about.

First of all, if you already have your phone from Sprint I can't imagine why you would feel the need to even come into this thread and be argumentative over a subject that doesn't concern you in any way. That's not to say that you can't, it just seems as if there is so much more you could be doing with your life. . .but i guess the same could be said about anyone, myself included.

For what it's worth I've been with Sprint forever and I don't think any phone on the three lines of my account has come directly from Sprint and I have never had issues. I have ordered from Best Buy mainly and they've always been very helpful, I've also gone through Let'sTalk as well as Radio Shack without ever having any issues. This is my first time going through Wirefly but I haven't seen a problem with them. They HAVE kept me up-to-date as they have informed me when they have received information... Unfortunately Sprint hasn't been giving out info probably because they are just too worried about covering their asses hoping they don't come out as foolish as they are. It's easy to make excuses, but the simple fact is that Sprint giving out release dates without being able to meet them and taking peoples money and leaving them in the dark is extremely unprofessional.

I knew from the beginning that people that pre-ordered from Sprint would get them before everyone else(at least they said they would thy their best) so the wait doesn't bother me, but the fact is that Sprint announced a release date they were not capable of following through with. Sprint took peoples money(wirefly never took my money) and then left them waiting, and Sprint either wasn't aware or didn't care about the patent lawsuit or they would have made sure it was taken care of before announcing a release date(or even announcing the phone) or they would have acquired sufficient stock before taking peoples money. I'm not saying Sprint in the devil, just an immature, unprofessional company.

Say what you will, but the fact that I saved over $100 on my phone still makes it worth the wait, even if I go another month it's better than giving Sprint that extra money for the same phones others sell at almost half price. It's nice that you're loyal to Sprint, but if they were loyal to their customers they would have the lowest prices on the phones. Instead of trying to argue with me, you should use the energy to ask Sprint why they charge their customers so much more for the same thing others sell so cheap.

In a couple months(or less) none of this will have mattered and I will still be earning interest on that hundred bucks I saved.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share this message from our CEO with you all. Please let me know if you have any questions. We sincerely apologize for the delay you have experienced.

First, let me say that I am very sorry for the inconvenience that Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE preorder customers have experienced through Wirefly. Although the situation was completely unexpected and out of our control, this is certainly not the sort of customer experience we endeavor to provide.

Each time we consider running a preorder for a device, we carefully weigh the information we have available to us and make a decision to support the preorder or not based on whether the customer experience will be a positive one. I can assure you that had we known the inventory challenges this device would experience, we would have chosen not to offer a preorder.

At this point, you probably know that inventory for the HTC EVO 4G LTE is severely constrained nationwide. It is our understanding that US Customs officials only released a fraction of the devices last week and that entire first shipment was just released (see article for additional information). We are in constant contact with Sprint and will send preorder customers an email with the latest information as soon as we can.

In the meantime, we appreciate your patience. We think that we offer great value and a positive customer experience. This situation doesn’t sit well with us at all. In addition to your Wirefly Preorder Price Guarantee that guarantees you’ll pay our lowest price for up to 30 days after the device officially launches, we are also upgrading your shipping to Next Business Day at no additional charge. It isn’t much, but we feel it is the least we can do considering how loyal you have been to us.

Thanks again for shopping with us. We greatly appreciate your business and hope to be shipping the new HTC EVO 4G LTE soon.

    Sincerely,

    Andy Zeinfeld
    Chief Executive Officer

The Walmart thing was a joke, anyone that didn't see that should pull their head out of their ***.

As far as the "crappy issues", the forum if FULL of them(but I'm sure you've trolled those threads as well) but hopefully when I get mine some will be fixed with updates.
It's obvious you've got personal issues with me(just as it is obvious the MD in your name doesn't mean your a medical doctor) but you need to let it go. Get a hobby or something. Play with your shiny new phone! Surely you didn't pay ALL THAT MONEY to get the phone EARLY just to troll threads that have NOTHING to do with you and try to pick fights with faceless strangers!!!!
I really hope I do get a "special version" if the phone is so boring it's going to make me troll on random threads.

Don't worry Wirefly, the kind of customers that you want long term are the customers that understand this is out of your control. I understand that when Sprint gave you a date you thought you could trust them, we all did.

Please have your CEO meet with Sprints CEO and kick him in the crotch.

Assuming this wirefly rep is legit, this is fantastic news and great customer service. The one thing that can help us now is faster shipping. I'll post back when I get any email update whether said free shipping was applied.

I received an email of the same announcement from the Wirefly post above, I'm glad they are upgrading the shipping when it is available to send. That was a nice touch and not expected since it was not Wirefly's fault there was a delay.

Rep is legit, I just received an email update from Wirefly containing the same "note from CEO" as above. Thank you, Wirefly! At least it's something, and it helps while we wait for a shipping date.

...right. And it looks like you're apparently another one of the conspiracy theorists that think Sprint and HTC knew this was coming months ahead of time and chose to ignore it?

A conspiracy was not in my mind when i canceled my order. I find it hard to believe that a huge corporations such as HTC & Sprint with their teams of lawyers did not have any idea that something like this might occur... Your assumptions are funny, your the first human who can read minds.
