Re: The Official Red Stripe Wallpaper Thread
Yeah, I hate dealing with hair in these things. I suppose I could have used a mask to get it right, but it was just easier to use the pen tool.
Black with red stripes, red with black stripes... Whatever was easier, man, that's what I went for. Besides, you can't really physically make a dress that starts out with black fabric, then add red stripes, it has to start with red fabric, so I don't see anything wrong with it

Re: The Official Red Stripe Wallpaper Thread
I think it's because of the high-pixel density that they will look bad. If it was the same size screen but at a lesser resolution, then you would have been able to size it down accordingly to get rid of imperfections while also at the same time sharpening it somewhat. However, the higher the resolution the display at the same size, the more one will notice imperfections. That is, if their eyesight is good enough.
I have a Canon 60D and I do photography as a hobby, so I will most likely be using my own images as wallpapers. Also I'm beginning to think that the OP has too much of an obsession for suggestive women... - 05-23-2012, 10:52 PM #43
Re: The Official Red Stripe Wallpaper Thread
Not necessarily. With the high pixel density, a lot of the details are in a much smaller space...
To give you an example, my current camera's LCD display has 300+ ppi. While my previous camera has the same size LCD display with lower resolution, and I can see a lot more detail on my current camera's display, it isn't until I see the pictures on my computer's screen (which has much lower pixel density than my current camera) that I notice imperfections on the pictures.
Of course, the actual resolution of the pictures taken by my camera is a lot higher than what its LCD is capable of displaying, so perhaps it's a matter of it not being able to display the image at native resolution that's causing it to not show all the details/imperfections....
Guess we'll find out when we receive our phones. I usually run live wallpapers, so probably won't be using any of these, but out of curiosity, I'll try a few and see if they look better or worse than on full-sized computer screens.
That much is obvious

This is true when you are looking at photos on a 1:1 scale pixel wise. However, If the screen on the EVOLTE was the same size but lesser resolution, it would have to scale down the images here in order to make them fit on the screen, therefore reducing the fine details and making the image appear slightly sharper. If the screen was the same size at a resolution higher than 720p, then it would essentially have to upscale the image to fully fit on the screen, making the imperfections more apparent.
