Does everyone's notification light turn green when the phone is 100% charged?

Mine seems to stay orange forever....

edit: nevermind, i just let it keep charging (even after it says it was at 100%) and it turned green. almost like 5 hours!

I had the same problems when I first had mine...go to WiFi advanced settings and put "best WiFi performance" on and you shouldn't have the connectivity problems any longer

From the lock screen, you can toggle the ringer volume. Is there any way to disable this? I don't want something else in my pocket hitting it and changing it when I want it on silent.

Yeah, I tend to have this problem with the opposite gender.

You mean PEEP? Or FriendStream?
You can add the FriendStream widget and sign in this way if you didn't do it with the setup wizard. Peep, I don't know where to find it (or why anyone would want to) but try the HTC Hub.

i have a hotmail account and even though i clicked off the box to not have those contact sync, it still did. how do i get rid of them without going through and deleting each one individually?

also, does anyone know why im not able to get all of my fb contact pictures to show up? im also having the same issue with my handcent of the contact pics not showing up.

I think if you sign into FriendStream it should take care of the FB problem. Worked for me.

Here's a little tid bit to conserve battery life for those with no lte...the phone has the lte antenna on by default...go in and turn it off.

Not sure why you are having issues with the fb contacts mine show just fine. Try deleting your facebook account under settings and accounts and then add it back.

i just did this and it made it worse, i now have less people with photos. i wonder if i need to uninstall the app, and try to delete all of the backup info for fb and try again??

Okay that didnt work because i have ADW launcher and it dont work with alternative launchers... BUT

If you reopen sense alter the dock then again open your alternate launcher BAMMM its right. lol This is even better because you dont have to have the same apps on your lock and home

I'm going to try and answer some questions before posting some of my own lol.

@ Brodequin: Emails and texts flash like the OG Evo (as far I can tell at least)

@ Several people: The turning off LTE/CDMA to CDMA only has been posted with screenshots on page 1

@ Malikshuman: For auto rotate there are lots of built in toggles so that you can choose and lock the mode you want i.e. tap to make landscape, no auto-rotate. I'm sure there are other solutions but this is the best imo

@mojaxson : There does not appear to be a "none" option or anything for notifications but you might try deleting the options under profile until you have none left to select that might yield a none, or you can go to specific items (email and text for sure) and go into their individual settings and eliminate notification sounds (email --> menu button --> settings--> uncheck notification sound, same style for texts)


So first thing I noticed was without a dedicated search button at the bottom of the phone, things like quick searching and voice actions are virtually impossible. While you could use the google search widget, that takes up 4 spots to perform 2 actions. The work around I employed was using the google search app and the app GVS (Galaxy Voice search or something I think?) Which just provides a 1x1 block app that bring up the voice app. There may be more options around this but it is what I have found.

Now for the unsolved. I cannot for the life of my figure out how the hell to advance email messages without going back and selecting another. This is just the most annoying thing ever. No longer can I cycle through all my unreads in a quick and easy fashion, now I most go back to mail from the back button or top and choose the next email. Any tips/tricks? I'd rather not use a 3rd party app but if I must I must.

This thread is great. I figure this community stayed tight during EVOGATE (heh) and I think we can all work together and help each other out.

The email thing is also annoying the heck out of me too! It seems so simple, but so dumb for them to exclude it!?

Does anyone know if there is a way to get the messaging app show the NAME of the person you are talking to instead of the phone number?

The name shows up top, but in the convo each time someone texts me it shows as:

123-456-7890 (Mobile): Hi there!

Instead of the name. Very annoying.

So, does anyone else have it when they long press inside of a text message it doesnt alow you to change the input anymore (e.g. swype, swiftkey)? Is there a setting I am missing? I think it is annoying i cant switch between keyboards inside the text message anymore

I figured it out! It displays that way when you have more than 1 phone number stored for a contact. Don't know why the (M) or (W) wouldn't suffice... This is clearly a bug that they'll eventually roll out an update for....

2 questions about email:

1) Why is the text so large? I've tried adjusting it to the smallest font, but that's still to big. I can't seem to reduce the page. Does yone have an answer for this? With my OG EVO, I could adjust the page, just like I could an internet page. I've only been able to read emails in landscape...

2) I can only move back from reading a current email to the inbox. I can't toggle in between emails. This seems really dumb. Anyone figured this out? I can't swipe (just in case you were going to ask). I have three email accounts setup. Gmail, hotmail, & y mail.

Where are the settings while using navigation? Once you enter an address, there is no ability that I can find to filter layers or have any other options. There isn't even an exit- it seems you just have to back out...what am I missing?

This happened to me the first night I downloaded the Google navigation app. I tried to shut down the phone and reboot to no avail. Surprisingly, when I woke up the next morning, it was working. I say give it a day to synch up...

Sorry I hadn't seen this when I made my threat earlier...

I noticed the OneX had a HTC "notes" widget. It synced with evernote (or it said at least), and provided a really nice flipping action so you could just swipe through notes and type/draw new ones on the fly. I really loved the idea of using that on a regular basis. Unless I'm missing something (and that's VERY possible, I've had the phone for a very short amount of time), I can't find that widget....

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
