I had a couple of Q's. I'm wondering how you open the kickstand in the opposite direction?

Also, Can you make the top bar disappear when you don't need it? Or even the app drawer at the bottom of the home screen? If not, can you change the opacity of em?

Here is a tip:

If you enable quick controls in the stock browser to get full screen browsing, then you might get stuck when it comes time to close a tab. It seems like you can open them, but there is no way of closing them. Just move your finger on the tab drawer icon and let go. It leads you to a screen where you can close any tabs.

Also, is anyone else having problems connecting to WiFi? It keeps trying to obtain IP adress.

i don't have problems connecting to WiFi but I am having problems keeping a connection this happened with my EVO3D a lot can anyone chime in on this???

I was able to connect when I first started my phone. But then I had to restart it because the Play Store was acting up and now am unable to reconnect to WiFi. I guess Ill turn it off and hope it works in the morning.

I had to update profile & prl for a decent 3g connection. Speeds went from .20 to 1.5 also.

You can disable lte by going into wireless settings and click on network mode.

From the lock screen, you can toggle the ringer volume. Is there any way to disable this? I don't want something else in my pocket hitting it and changing it when I want it on silent.

When you tap on the folder to open it, the name is at the top left. If you tap there, it will let you change the name to whatever you want.

EDIT: Just saw your edit, but I'll leave this in case someone else has the same question.

I'm having a problem with updating apps. I am on 3g and had 10 updates when I first opened the Play store. I tried selecting update all and went back to checking email. At most 2 apps updated before stalling. I went back into the Play Store and tried again, this time leaving the store open and not doing anything else. Again, at most 2 apps updated and the next one stalled and timed out. Is anyone else experiencing this and/or have a solution?

The kickstand only opens in one direction but it can support the phone in either landscape orientation.

You can't completely get rid of the top bar or the launcher but it looks like some of the skins are transparent.

When you tap on the folder to open it, the name is at the top left. If you tap there, it will let you change the name to whatever you want.

EDIT: Just saw your edit, but I'll leave this in case someone else has the same question.

Tip #2 - It won't let you leave a blank name (in case you like the clean look for the folders), but you can just type one space instead and it'll take that just fine.

This is a nice little trick I found out. If you have the camera on your lockscreen (so it can be launched immediately upon unlocking the phone) it bypasses needing to enter a pin.

It isn't quite as fast as launching the camera by pressing the shutter button but it is much quicker then having to enter my pin.

Is there a way to turn off 4G? On my old Evo there was a widget for that and it seemed to help with battery life.

On my EVO 4G i could choose not to have any sound for my text messages. I cant find the option not to have any sound on my notifications. Does anybody know how to do this?

Phil mentioned early that the camera button doesn't unlock the phone but you can go to the camera from the lock screen without putting in your pin. If the camera shortcut is on your lockscreen of course.
