Re: Battery Life
I am not having such good luck with battery life with wifi on I can almost watch it drain. And it takes forever to charge, seriously like 6 to 7 hours to charge.
basically it discharges faster than it charges. No biggie just gonna go exchange it, I'm sure it is just an isolated bad battery.
Love the phone, especially SVDO support since I use it for work I can get emails while on conference calls on the road. - 06-09-2012, 10:38 AM #178

So, I just had to try it. I commute 5.5 hours on Mondays and Thursdays. This morning with my phone at 100%, I started a Google Nav session to my first gas stop.
235 miles and 3 hours and 15 minutes later I was down to 13%. Not bad for constant GPS and 3G data.
Btw, checkout the pic, I've never seen anything use more battery than the screen before. - 06-11-2012, 03:55 PM #186
So this is what I've been getting. As you can see its not good. I've also had to charge it around 5 or so hours of use. And this is with the advice I've gotten in this forum. Any suggestions after seeing my usage?

Re: Battery Life
Man i dont understand this. Your screen is using most of the power and it still goes so fast...
I have my brightness set to 100% and i easily get 24hrs per charge. (closer to 15hrs with moderate to heavy use)
It looks like you partially charged in the middle of the cycle thus resetting the timer.

Right before I plugged it in to charge. Granted mostly on wifi.
If it want for the multitasking I wouldn't even consider getting rid of this phone.

Re: Battery Life
I was pretty impressed the first few days I had mine, around 20-24 hours and I was using it pretty heavily (though in all fairness that usually included at least 6 hours of sleep). Now I'm getting like 11 hours. It still feels like it's doing a good job, but by night time I do have to plug it in. I definitely would love for it to get back to those 20-24 hour days. I can't believe some of the numbers you guys are getting.... I feel like I should blame games like Scramble with friends for running in the background.

Re: Battery Life
I ended up excahning for another model because I began having issues with the phone. BUt I think my battery issue may be an issue with Sprint and it's network. Recently recpetion and 3G have been horrible where I work and spotty around where I live. (I stay in Baltimore for the record.) Today I took the evo to work and used it as normal and it's doing horrible.

Mind you
- Screen set to auto brightness
- GPS off
- All uneeded apps disabled
- CDMA only
I'm going to need SPrint to send me an Air Rave or give me a credit for this horrible network

Re: Battery Life
yikes....i just feel like if i didn't have good service in the two places i would be in the most (home and work)
I would not be using that service provider.
I got a good 18 hours last night and was still on 20% battery. Battery is literally no longer a concern for me which is the LAST thing i would ever say about the Evo. - 06-13-2012, 10:35 AM #200
