Re: Launch Day Stories Thread
Luckily, I stopped by my local Sprint Store yesterday and I was able to get on their "preorder" list, so I have one waiting for me this morning. As with everyone else, I am anxious to get my new phone and dump my Nexus S 4G. Next up, a case for my new smartphone!

I also love this android phone and its dual core processor w/ICS , bigger screen,hd video and camera, multitasking, extended battery life, and of course htc sense.

I would be happier but decided to try the Wal-Mart way. Got home and found the camera button was not springing back. I called for a replacement and they have none. They also aren't sure when they will have any to swap for. Because of Wally Worlds return policy I can only go to that store.
Otherwise this is one of if not the best phone I've used.
Edit....I saw the teardown video. Anyone know if the camera button is repairable ?

Re: Launch Day Stories Thread
I meant to wake up around 8:30 or 9 to get to the Sprint store at opening, but...that didn't work out. Woke up about 40 minutes ago, called the Sprint store to make sure they still had plenty in stock, and am now about to head over there to pick up my Evo.

Re: Launch Day Stories Thread
Hey all. I called the Sprint store this morning and they had one left in stock out of the 5 total that they received. I rushed over to pick it up and I am so happy that I did. I had the HTC One X on AT&T after switching from the OG Evo 4g but the limited data and the fact that it was on the evil empire network just left a sour taste in my mouth. It is so good to be back with Sprint and have this awesome device in my hand. Next step is to get a screen cover and to take back the HOX.

Re: Launch Day Stories Thread
Called about 4 Best Buys in NYC, found one in Queens selling it. Went there, traded in my old Evo and bough a screen protector. Total came out to $91.
Looked at receipt and they only charged me $150 for the phone. Oh well!
