Re: Google wallet error
My Google wallet seemed to be working, never used it, but it showed my $10 balance on the pre-paid card. I went to use it today and it "unfortunately, Google Wallet has not yet been certified in your country or on your device / carrier". Not sure what happened. Anyone else seeing this?

Hello,
I don't think that this is Sprint/Google related rather a software issue specific to the EVO 4G LTE Device. If this was a Sprint/Google issue then logic dictates that it would be impacting the Sprint Galaxy Nexus and the other LG phone.
I will however say that I am very disappointed in the way that Sprint/Google/HTC and Money Network is not communicating with the customers.
For me, it is not about just $10.00 but around $100.00

I don't know how to fix it. - 06-15-2012, 07:05 PM #82

Re: Google wallet error
I have a sinking feeling that we will not be getting to use GW.
There are too many software issues with this phone.

Re: Google wallet error
I think people are reading too much into this. Its likely a problem with GW and the Evo and they are trying to fix it and may have turned it off until its resolved especially if its involves security or transactions or something not going through correctly.
Its my understanding Sprint is the only carrier to officially partner with Google, I can't see them doing that and then shutting things down. Perhaps Sprint's new NFC payment system is related but as others have said the Nexus and other devices don't seem to be impacted.
Who knows, but I wouldn't panic at this point.. this is a pretty new phone/feature/app and issues are bound to come up. - 06-16-2012, 09:04 AM #88

This is completely bogus, it is still being advertised as having Google Wallet on their website.
I guess to them "having it" and "having it working" are two different things. :banghead: - 06-16-2012, 02:47 PM #90
Re: Google wallet error
Well at least I got $8 off it before it went belly up.I went ahead and got the Citi MasterCard and it came with a little payment tag that you can adhere to the back of your phone and I guess it works like Google Wallet. You just tap the paypass thingy with your phone and for payments of less then $50 you don't need a signature.Whats the point of having Google Wallet anyway when you can just attach a NFC tag to any phone and it works the same way?

I've been known to set off a metal detector. consequences of a misspent youth.Yes welding would probably sting.maybe stapling would work.Or I could just not attach that nfc tag to the back of my phone.Yeah, that sounds less painful.Think I'll do that.Plus I don't think Olive Garden will let me bring my dogs and the wife is just useless when it comes to security.

Re: Google wallet error
Yeah I'm really not happy about this....I was really looking forward to using google wallet. If sprint's mobile payment system is literally just around the corner then maybe that's alright...but only if it works really well and we still get $10 >.>
