4G LTE Supposedly on in Houston
Just got off the phone with tech support and the guy whom seemed pretty knowledgable stated that in Houston the 4G LTE work was completed on yesterday and the 3g upgrades were done today at 5pm. So what speeds are you getting in Houston both LTE and 3g?

Wow this is great..That means they are going to turn it on real soon..I may just stay with Sprint and wait it out on their network.

Re: 4G LTE Supposedly on in Houston
I haven't seen any 4G in Houston and the 3G I have been getting is horrible.

Re: 4G LTE Supposedly on in Houston
Okay, it's now tomorrow in Houston. While I am getting fairly impressive 3G performance this morning down by NASA, my face is turning blue from holding my breath on 4G. One odd thing that may (or may not, wtf knows?) indicate that something is up; my 3G indicator is acting strangely. Even while downloading the arrows are staying greyed out, and much of the time the 3G itself is grey.
I think I'll switch from holding my breath to crossing my fingers though. - 06-27-2012, 12:14 PM #23

Re: 4G LTE Supposedly on in Houston
Sitting in Cypress (NW Houston).
Coverage maps show I am in a strong LTE area (indoors and outdoors).
Nothing the first week it launched. I called TS and they tried many things (restart phone, PRL update, etc.) Nothing. I go into a Local Sprint owned store today and I listen as they sell people of LTE. I politely asked a salesperson and he finally confesses that it was a "soft" launch in Houston and not a FULL launch and that it is available in PARTS of Houston and to be patient.
Uh yeah, there are many people who bought wi-max phones in hopes of full coverage.
I have 3 family lines waiting to upgrade, but I'm not paying the buy a 4G phone and HOPE for coverage game with Sprint.
Update your coverage maps! - 08-08-2012, 12:25 PM #25
