Now on my samsung, I had an option to use google voice or the my phone number. I cant seem to do that on this phone. Either its all google voice or all sprint it seems. I love this phone but the htc software on top of android is annoying me to no end. This might have to go back.

reinstall & try a different setup

When I dialed a phone number on the samsung it asked me if I want to use google voice on the call or not. This one seems all or nothing.

Still confused with your question, it's asking if you want voice to dial for you or if you are going to manual dial.... You can sprint voice or gv for voice commands.

You can still do that. It's an option during the Google Voice setup.
