Any less and it looks like crap. I can't deal with whites looking gray. I don't know how you guys can use any less.

I've been using auto since it seems to work much better than the EVO 3D's auto... No screen protector.

Auto brightness actually has the same brightness level value for the bottom four ambient light tiers btw, if you think auto works well everywhere but in dark places (still too bright) you can adjust it so those bottom three tiers are actually mapped to lower values. Need to be rooted of course, but with a new s-off method that fully unlocks the bootloader and doesn't even notify HTC (nor leave any trace if undone), there's no reason not to.

    100% - always.

I get 20+ hrs of battery, so why not let the screen look brilliant all the time?

If I forget a charger going out of town for the weekend, I might drop it down so I can make it with one charge until Sunday evening.

can't be that much if he is getting 20+ hours with screen at 100%. the battery life on my gnex is amazing, but with the screen at 100% i can burn through a full charge in 6-7 hours of moderate use.

I keep mine on 100% unless I'm using it in the dark in which case it's minimum brightness. No screen protector.

I keep mine at 100 and under a full day of heavy usage I can still get 15 hours.

Auto, 100% of the time. I've never bothered with screen protectors. So far I've managed to not damage any of my past HTC phones (Touch Diamond, Hero, OG Evo and current Evo LTE).

Yeah, but the 3vo was gorilla glass and I got a ghost scratch. Plus, there is that shiny part that would get light scratches if it wasn't covered. :/

I switch between ScreenDim and auto.

I'm definitely in the minority as Ive always had screen protectors and cases (switch between Otterbox Commuter & a Ballistic) for my phones b/c the second i get overconfident and think, 'I got this', the damn thing will either jump out of my hand, slip through my fingers or Houdini out of my shirt pocket. It never fails.
