Kindle app is no longer syncing. Tried uninstall.??

Sorry for the lack of info. Rookie mistake on how to post. Tried reininstalling 3 times but still no sync. Whenever download my book o get a "kindle has stopped working" message as soon as download is complete. Worked fine intil this issue started yesterday. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
