Apps locking up after update.
Last week I took my phone in because my proximity sensor wasn't working. I received a replacement two days later. Went home started setting things up, set the phone down to eat dinner, picked it up and it wouldn't turn on. I tried turning it on, nothing. Headed back to sprint and they gave me another one. Went home to work on setting things up and noticed the update and downloaded it.
Now to my problem. It started with Google maps. I opened it and it would show the header and a white screen. I waited for a few, hit the home button and was prompted to send an error report. Tried all the usual stuff, uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted, and finally did a factory reset.
Now I have finally gotten it all set up again, Gmail and the Market are starting to do the same. Should I get another replacement? Is there anything else I can do.
Also, the tech at Sprint says a lot of phones with problems are double sealed because they were opened at customs.

My phone was doing the some thing I did a factory reset and I had it again all I did is turn off fast boot and restart the phone and I have not had the problem yet but it seemed to have worked and all is good try to restart your phone and if that dose not work then. I would fully shut the phone off and then turn it back on see if that works.

Re: Apps locking up after update.
Mine did this as well...I reset it it like 3 times..no difference....fully powered down...no difference....all of a sudden it cleared up.....my sneaking suspicion is that there was some major background update going on that finally went thru.....my lasted the better part of a day then all of a sudden it was fine

Wow, sorry to hear about your issues Hurley. I have no clue what's going on, but I would say the factory reset would be the last straw for me before I took it back to Sprint. They should give you another one If they can't get yours to operate correctly.
Appreciate the Customs tidbit...
FYI - I'm still on my 2nd EVO LTE. The prox/light sensor issue is no more. The cracking sound seems to have gone away too. The misaligned lights at the bottom is not a deal breaker thusfar. Actually, the bright recent apps key is dimming also. Cross my fingers...
Let us know the outcome. Good luck.

Thanks. Seems to be working again. We'll see what happens. I really don't want to spend the 2 hours it takes to do a factory reset and get everything set up again.
