The cruzerlite has the lip and it is pretty much as thin as you can make a case and still have protection. My phone is white and Grey so the clear cruzerlite makes it look at first glance or to the untrained eye like I don't have a case on at all.

To say you don't like cases is one thing,, to say we waste our money on cases because the phone practically can't be damaged (basically what you're saying) is just stupid. Although I have never dropped a smartphone in 5 years I still can see that just a normal 3 foot drop onto cement will cause some sort of damage,, sorry but that Is just physics. A case will in most cases prevent that corner from being damaged or scratched. Also,, this phone in particular is so thin that a thin case on it just feels better in my hands so for that reason alone it is not a waste of money. One other thing,, keep kidding yourself that the screen can't be scratched. Funny thing how all these new phones you see threads pop up,, people complaining "how did I get this scratch,, I want a replacement". See them all the time and I just laugh. If going with no protection at all is good for you then cool,, all the power to you but you should not tell others they are "wasting their money" because they are being responsible for a very expensive device.

Re: What case are you using? Pics if you have them.
I went ahead and ordered the Diztronic black case from AMZN, (9.5$ shipped) I like this case, goes on nicely, VERY thin, I think it will protect the meat of the device just fine, it has the small lip on the front so the device can be silenced with the flip over, and/or one can activate the speakerphone with the flip-over.
As others noted, the ONLY really issue I have with the case - and it's not really a big one - is the hole for the power switch seems a tad offset, making it just a TINY bit more difficult to hit the power button to light up the device. I don't think it's a molding issue, I think it IS a design INTENTION. The power button on the top of the HTC EVO 4G LTE is not straight on, it's a bit offset. If the case makes make more space for the hole between the front of the button and the front of the CASE, the amount of material on the LIP would be very thin and would most likely break or tear with minimal use. Leaving a bit of hanging rubber material and annoying customers. So, they make that one lip a bit wider and therefore it comes very close to the edge of the power button. No issues with the camera button opening though.
For the money I think this is a very good case! Now, to decide whether or not to put a screen protector on this puppy. - 08-15-2012, 11:10 AM

What I like about the barely there case is the top,, the power button and mic jack has nothing at all covering,, same as bottom. Just covers enough of their corners for protection. This case changes the appearance of your phone the least out of every case.

Not so much using a case lol, I but for $1.50 on Amazon you can't beat the Xtreme Guard for price. I've never used a front and back wet application screen protector before so we'll see how well it works out. I also have an Otterbox Commuter and a Disztronic TPU case.

My clear cruzerlite case has some sort of black discoloration on it and I don't know where it came from. That did it for me with that case. Keep it as a backup.

Reply

another reason I like it is because it makes the entire back of the phone match. I'd rather it be all matte finish but all gloss is better than half and half IMO
