Default Music playback problems on my EVO

So I picked up the HTC EVO 4g LTE a few weeks ago and so far I've loved it. I only have one problem and while its small, its still noticeable since I listen to a lot of bass-y music.
At some lower frequencies, I can hear some noticeable "claps" if that's what you would call them while wearing headphones. I know its not the music or my headphones because I get the same effect from all the headphones I have. Just wondering if I can tweak a setting somewhere or if I just have to get used to it. I've also tried all the different EQ settings and get the same effect.

I would try replacing the phone. Seems like you may have a hardware issue.

I agree, must be a bad phone. I listen to music at least 8 hours every day between Google Music and sirius and love it. Especially beats audio. When I plug my phone into my car stereo its like plugging in a large woofer because of Beats. Music has been a joy with this device.
