Both ATT & verizon texts are +6hrs, rebooted no change, any ideas?

You're probably roaming.

When you're roaming, the time stamp on texts with UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) which is six hours ahead of the Central Time zone in the US.

Nope, I wasn't roaming i checked that. I did fix it by turning off auto timezone, then turning it back on few moments later! Weird I know, but there you have it!

On a separate note my EVO 4GLTE flies when it picks up a 4G signal, but it makes the 3G PAINFUL when it kicks in other times!!
