For those of you (like me) that didn't know, an ..."equivalent of a battery pull"... is performed by holding the power button for 20-30 seconds.

Insider says 4.3 coming for US-based HTC One soon, more info for Europe | Android Central

Yep. Sadly this may be the end of my run with HTC phones. This phone is all of 15 months old and they're willing to let it die on the vine. I know 15 months is getting a little old, but it is no older than the One X, and basically the same phone. No excuse HTC.

Nobody expected 4.3.

Now it looks like 4.2 might be out the window. So either stick with 4.1 or time to take the plunge and unlock/root/ROM the sucker. (I am still not ready... might never be, who knows).

I was in that group awhile ago. While the One is a fine phone, Sprint just hasn't given me the service I feel that I'm paying for. I was hoping for Sense 5 so I could delay my upgrade for awhile, but if we don't get even that then I'm off to AT&T for a Moto X or a Nexus "next" this Feb when my contract is up. If the new Nexus gets the notification thing that's on the Moto X, I'll jump ship early! I love my EVO, but if I don't get service, it's not much more than an Android ITouch.

I hope it does I just got this phone I'd like to see it get at least 4.2 and sense 5 I lost my window of opportunity ( 14 day period ) on getting the s3 and the s3 is getting 4.3 in October

I think we're all hoping for the same thing. Personally, it will make my last few weeks with Sprint and HTC a lot more enjoyable.

Technically there is no answer if they are updating the EVO 4G LTE, still hoping though.
