Reduced Ringer & Notification Max Volume After Jelly Bean?

I have my volume set to Max as I did pre-JB ... but the sound (particularly for notifications) are noticeably quieter than before. If you've noticed this too, or better yet found a fix - please post.

I also have noticed a low volume period, of the phone. Before the update my volume was great but now it is lower now. I haven't tried with headphones but I have never had to use them with this phone.

Notifications are def lower, phone calls and music seems louder and clearer!
