I really miss the scrolling.
I also don't like how selecting a landscape camera image blows it up and creates a grainy poor wallpaper appearance. It ruined the ability to use your camera pics as a background with the great screen.

Actually, why does Android or Sense in general not allow the full portrait image size to be used without cropping for a wallpaper? What is the reason for that cropping step?

But when you select a portrait image, why can you not use the full image? Oddly, it allows it for the lock screen image, but not the wallpaper. ??

You mis understood. There is no landscape for the lockscreen. But there is landscape for sense 4, 4.1, and 4+.

??? My home screen doesn't rotate to landscape! How can I accomplish that?

I don't get it either. Landscape doesn't seem to be used in homescreens. Why do you need to crop a portrait image for homescreen use? Sorry I'm still confused.

Use Photoshop or another editor to "pad" the outside of the image with a blank area, then you can select the area you want and make it full screen. Easy. Do it all the time.
