multiple camera photo file name problem

I'm having an issue where when I take a photo, the same photo gets saved twice. It will be saved as 2013-05-12-12 10.12.04 and simultaneously as IMAG2560. I actually wind up with physically two of the same image (or video) on my external SD card, just named differently. How do I eliminate this? It wasn't always this way and I can't say I remember when it changed?
