Hello,

What is the best practice? Should you flash the new kernel first and then the new rom or rom first and the the new kernel.

I plan on using CM7 rom and Tiamat kernel.

Any step by step would be helpful.

Thanks

Always flash the ROM first. Go into recovery, do a nandroid backup if you want to keep your setup that you have now. After that's finished, wipe cache and dalvik cache and (if you want to be really thorough you can do a factory reset.. I always do, because i think it helps the roms to flash). After your rom is flashed, you can flash your kernel!

The CM7 and Tiamat kernel combination is very good together, at least for me! I was at 10+ hours of use and still had about 55% battery left!!! Hope I helped and good luck :D
