What is the best fastest daily driver rom?

So I'm new to android just got an epic touch 4g, and after a week rooted and I love android and fully understand it's greatness now. Anyway my friend has had an evo stock for some time and has always complained about battery life. I know this gets asked here alot but roms change everyday and reading all the threads is crazy.

So far what I know is that the mikG rom is good and cm7.1 just need a daily driver that I can underclock that runs fast and smooth with no issues or litte.

It's a matter of opinion of course, but I think Tommy's is smooth, fast, and issue-free. I've been running it since it came out and it's the first time I haven't been itching to flash in awhile.

It is Sense 1.0, so if your friend has to have some of the higher sense flashiness, then MikG is by far the fastest and most reliable.

CM7 hands down, in my opinion. CM7 is crazy fast, and more customizable than any other ROM I've tried.

It's all preference really. Are you getting this for your friends Evo or your E4GT? Since you have an Epic 4G Touch, any ROM will be fast and smooth for you. That phone is a beast. You should try out a few ROMs and decide what you personally like best.

If you are looking for an Evo ROM, my only suggestion is cm7.

Really depends on if you want a sense rom or an aosp rom.

With cm 7 you can't record 720p though.

Thanks guys for all the advice its for my friend and je just wants a faster better phone, it doesnt have tp be sense just fast and most key things working and great battery life is his need. i,m going to show him how to flash so he can test out the ones you recommended.

Highly recommen Decks roms. Its based on cm7 but better and everything works flawlessly.

I like Decks. good rom. my only draw back it that to bluetooth doesn't work.

Reflash it bub I have had no problems with my Bluetooth not working.

Really the only thing I am interested in at this point is a camera app that will shoot 720p. Any suggestions?

I'm running Decks 1.3 and I'm loving it. Fast and I have a decent battery life as well.

It runs great. Not buggy. haven't had any random roboots. good batery life. Very responsive. i could just go on.
