    Default Rollback/Uninstall OTA

    I just replaced my phone and it came with the latest OTA from sprint today. I want to rollback to a version I can root. Here is my information. I can't seem to find and RUU to work yet.

    Android Version:
    2.3.5

    Software Number:
    4.67.651.3

    It won't work as non of the bootloaders pass .97 I believe will downgrade.

    To root it search for the guide to unlock the bootloader from htcdev and use fastboot to install what you need.

    You can root that version by unlocking the bootloader using . In fact, that's the only way you can root it. There's no way to roll back the version without first unlocking it using that method.

    Okay I have tried Unrevoked and that seemed to fail. What method would be best to root it, I just unlocked to bootloader with the HTCdev tool.

    I just posted this. From what i know this is the only possible way of rooting a phone. Just unlocking the phone & trying to update from the bootloader the recovery wont work, needs to be done from a command line prompt. Read up. Guide to rooting phone with HBOOT 2.18.0001
