[REQ] How to install AOSP dialer?

So I love the bugless beast rom, but it has some pretty nasty bugs. I'd love to use either damage control or fresh but still have many of the AOSP apps. I was able to grab the apks out of bugless beast, then

adb remount
adb shell
install Mms.apk /system/app
exit
adb reboot

This works for calendar (needs calendar provider), messaging, browser (yay, more than 4 tabs!) calculator, and car home.

However I haven't been able to figure out the right combination of apks to get the stock dialer installed. I even tried to do a compare of the /system/app in DC vs BB, but still haven't gotten things working. I either get FCs and nothing opens, or the old dialer/contacts are still there but neither the sense or AOSP work.

I am hoping someone can help me figure this out, as I think I'm not the only one looking to do this.

So far I have tried a few combinations of the following things:

install from BB: phone, contactsprovider, contacts, telephony, futuredialservice

remove: htccontacts

Do I need to do something more heavy duty like changes in framework or even spin a new ROM?

If your wanting AOSP with sense. There's a rom for that
