Noobie root question (wanna try to unlock 30fps cap)

I'm really tempted to try out the godmode kernel to unlock the 30fps cap. My phone is unrooted and I just want this kernel w/ stock 2.1. Is this process the same as flashing roms? I'm soo lost and there's a bunch of tutorials. I'm not sure where to start. Can someone post some links? thanks

i have a bit of Tearing but its not enough to make me Change anything...

Novatec Is amazing once you bump the FPS... love it like a brand new phone again

Yea, they just updated with a new kernal, slightly lower fps, no tearing.

I have the Epson screen. Looks like I have a lot of reading to do. So is the hacked kernel worth the root? Id like to have that smooth scrolling like in those "uncap" videos.

Depends on how much trouble you want to go through. It shouldn't be that hard, but make sure you follow instructions to the T.

There's nothing wrong with the screen... nothing about wear and tear...

Its just the graphic ripping in a sense

in adb shell, run the dmesg command. scroll down and look for anything that says epson or novatec
