I have not found a single thread on this, after tons of searching so I'm hoping someone can help.
I have an Evo 4G and I have rooted with the unrevoked (1) method when I first got the phone on launch day. I have NOT applied the 1.47.651.1 patch yet.
I would LIKE to apply this patch but I do NOT want to use a different method to root (I don't like the idea of not being able to go back to quickly go back to stock as I am able to now). I would like to just apply a modified version of this patch that won't have me lose my root.
Where can I find this? My understanding is that root users get special patch updates a few days after they're available that will give them the changes in the patch but won't mess up their root. This is what was talked about quite a bit on these forums when the original unrevoked came out. Everyone said not to update when things came out for that reason.
