Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help me. I want to root using unrEVOked3, but I don't want to lose anything. Does unrEVOked3 wipe any data or settings from the phone?

Thanks

it didn't wipe anything on my Incredible when I did it - but if you want to un-root then you will lose all your settings and apps etc

Flash a kernel just like you flash a ROM. Boot into recovery and select the option to install a .zip from your SD, then choose the kernel. Don't wipe your data, obviously. :)

I just need to get rid of this 30fps cap. It's killing me!

You wouldn't by any chance know if UnrEVOked3 plays well with these custom kernels would you?

Don't really know, but it shouldn't matter. They're separate in the filesystem. As far as I know, once you're rooted UnrEVOked doesn't do anything anymore. But I'm not too familiar with that, I flashed through ADB and the engineering builds.
