New root vs new ROM
I am rooted and currently running baked snack.
I was wondering which will happen first. A fully functional 2.2 ROM with sense for rooted phones or the ability to root on the 2.2 update from HTC.
I like baked snack and the ability to use wifi tether. However, I am in a decent 4G area and I like some of the features of sense. - 07-30-2010, 11:07 AM #2
By end of today I bet you will see a fully rooted stock ROM of Froyo. If not, by end of the weekend. Rooting of the actual OTA for people who update, that will take a week or two.

before you LOL. I did not say that I missed sense. I said that I like parts of sense. I want to know which will happen first. A fully functional 2.2 with sense ROM or the ability to root from the new update released by HTC.

Probably fully functional 2.2 with Sense ROM for us rooted users.

Just wait for the Devs to Release the Root Version and you'll be fineArrogant Linux Elitist - 07-30-2010, 03:29 PM #7

Why would you want to flash the OTA and wait until they find a way to root it? Just wait until devs can download the OTA update and fix it so that we can flash it and not lose root. I guarantee someone will release a fixed version of the Froyo OTA by the end of the release day.
