Any Way of rooting .3 Update w/o losing setting/data?

I was originally running 2.1 and rooted it using unrevoked 3 for wireless tethering.

As soon as I heard about the leaked Froyo update (.3) I was quick to flash it and installed froyo and was using PDA net. (I didnt lose any setting/data)

Is there any way to root the leaked update (.3) without losing any setting/data?

I know I can go back to original 2.1 and root it and get the already rooted (.3) or even the (.6) froyo update, but this causes me to lose all my settings/data.

Can someone please point me to the right direction to be able to root the (.3) update?

No.

And its always good to wait in the Android world. If it teaches us anything, its patients

ya updating was a bad idea. especially since avalaunch rooted that leak like a few hours later. id never update until a rooted version comes out. those guys at xda are very quick with that stuff.
