HDMI Controller

I rooted via command lines then was having some issues, went to Unrevoked 3, a month later some issues. I am now on Simple Root. When I did the last update I now have an app called HDMI controller but both Enable and Disable buttons are gray and cant be pressed. I used to be able to use the HDMI for YouTube but now cant get it to link properly.

Is there a way to unlock the evo,s hdmi capability....what I mean is ability to use browser, games and apps being able to show up on my tv?

Probably, no known research on it though..

I've been googling, xda-ing, androidcentraling some kind of info but found none, you know how badassed it'd be if evo could play games, browse and such via flatscreen!....toast you think you could figure this out, you do these kind of things roms, rooting n such?

A few days ago, on some forum, I saw someone requesting testers for his everything on the Evo output through hdmi app. Wish I had payer better attention for you.

Perhaps it was on ppcgeeks... the above poster didn't state that he had been ppcgeeking.

There is an app that does just this in the market but it says its specifically for the Droid X. So it would seem that this is indeed not uncharted territory. Sorry don't remember the app name as I was not feeling adventurous enough to purchase and use the app. Also I'm running cm6 which does not support hdmi out yet.

*The app is called Real HDMI and is 1.99.* Just did a quick search for HDMI in market and poof there it was. If anyone feels adventurous enough please let us know how it worked out for you.*
