Installing different ROMs

Ok, now that I am getting the hang of the Android I want to try different ROM's. Can someone direct me to a how to install? I did a search and found a list of ROM's but no guide to installing.

From Beezy at the ac rom thread

-How to flash rom--
download zip
place on sdcard
rebooot into recovery,make a nadroid backup!
wipe everything(last time,all updates should flash over top)
flash zip reboot

and you need to be rooted (See bellow from my penguin-happy friend)

You'll need to be Root and have Nand Unlocked...

If you were one of the smart ones who didnt Install the OTA 2.2 Froyo

you'll be in luck

Thank God! Someone who doesn't install the OTA's! There is hope for this one guys!
