Soo I found the issue with my launcher freezing up on me

Apparently set cpu and my evo don't get along...

Anyone else having this issue?

I had issues when I set the lower limit too low, but I'm not a crazy guy like you with ROM's. I'm running AC ROM with setCPU using the settings in "THE" setCPU thread. pingpongbosses recommended settings.

Here's a couple things you could do to try and solve it.
Switch to OVERCLOCK widget run the same settings that you have with setcpu.If it still freezes then you need to adjust your settings.
If the problems solved then either run with OVERCLOCK widget or change out your launcher and see if it helps.

I'm using Toastd latest ROM. I have it U/C to 128MHZ when the screen is off. No issues to report w/it, and I've been running it for the past few weeks.

Any 3rd party launcher I use the phone freezes

As soon as I deleted set cpu all was well

I give up on it...

This crap is quick either way

I always u/c when on the battery. I have the clocking set incrementally as per the battery charge. The lower the battery, the lower the clocking. Nothing below 499, which kicks in when the battery gets to <50%. I haven't ever set it to o/c, as I don't see the need to quite yet, but I'll be playing with that over the next few weeks.

Its the app I haver it set to stock and conservative setting

If the app its installed it freezes my phone

I deleted it and tested all day without

So far so go

And battery life is much better

Ok I feel dumb asking this question, but how do you enable and disable this app ? Do you simply choose a setting such as "on demand" then check the "set on boot" box and reboot the phone? And do you uncheck the box and reboot to disable and go back to normal?

Setting > Manage Applications to turn it off. What you said (minus reboot) to turn it on.

I am running CM 6 with SetCPU with no problems. I am thinking of switching ROM's but I am leaving to Los Angeles and will be gone for a week and I dont want to go experimenting with a new ROM while im on the road.

I dont use these Apps anymore... My phone runs alottttt better without them...

If it works for ya more power to you...

I haven't had an issue with apps crashing since i deleted SetCPU
