Not sure I am in the correct place for this? I downloaded rom manager on my evo. I followed what directions there were, flashed clockworkmod, backup, downloaded CM6. Asked to complete another back up and wipe cache and hit ok. Been 20 minutes and I am still at the HTC white screen does not appear that anything is happening.

Not sure what to do from here. Do I try and power down the phone? Pull the battery. How long does flashing a ROM take?

I rooted with unrevoked3 the latest version just a couple of days ago.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It shouldn't take that long I would pull the battery and see if that helps sounds like the reboot stalled.

My guess is if you used unrevoked 3 you don't have nand unlocked use unrevoked forever and try again.

That's yur prob there. Its telling you that you're running bootloader 0.79.0000 when you need 0.76.2000( 0.76.0000 will do)
Download simpleroot and run step 2 (nand unlock) then flash Cm6 and you'll be on your way to goodness

Thanks for the help, just one additional question. I have followed the links to XDA for simple root but a 404 error stating website can not be found and can not find a download for simple root.

Do you know anywhere else the download can be found?

Over on XDA you can get that from the toast root method, it's one of the PC36IMG files I believe.
