We respect swypes business model and request that you do as well. Thanks in advance everyone!

Post deleted. I guess I should have been more clear.
Any link to an apk, or instructions to find an apk will be considered warez and infractions will be handed out.

Please Swype people, offer a way to pay for Swype, I don't break the law downloading someone's work illegally must...hold....off... I know that this is not a simple fart app or virtual beer drinking app and resources and lots of work went into developing it so your company deserves every penny for this revolutionary app.
You give away a beta, get us hooked then pull the carpet out from under with no word of a paid download. (How many phone app developers wouldn't kill for people begging to pay?)
Name a price or contact Sprint and work a deal with them. Then get with Apple and create a version for iPad/iphone before they steal your technology and let you fight it out in court for 5 to 10 years. - 03-12-2011, 09:38 AM #17
Hopefully there's a legitimate way for me to restore swype as I rooted after the OTA that added it to stock Evo. Looking for most efficient way to restore w/o losing my current configuration. Thoughts???

It's a little complicated but here's what you need to do:
1) uninstall swype
-go to settings>application>manage applications
-find swype and uninstall
2) reinstall swype
-go to the swype installer you initially used to install it
-you'll need your user name and password but you can reset the password by finding your initial invite email and using the links there (there might be other ways but that's how I did it)
-it then downloads swype, installs it and it works again!
It has been a harrowing couple of hours without it, but I'm so glad I got it working again. Hope this helps and works for you guys as well

Huh! Woulda never thought just uninstalling and reinstalling would work! Wish the faq listed that question on the site, but of course it discusses it after logging in.
