Default Sick new feature coming to VaelPak soon..

UPDATE: THIS NEW FEATURE IS NOW AVAILABLE TO VAELPAK 2.3 USERS. GO TO THE MARKET AND SEARCH FOR VAELPAK SETTINGS AND UPDATE

VaelPak 2.3 included an update to the VaelPak settings application. The update added a Mods/Patches section, which is filled with tons of OTA downloadable content including: applications (original stock htc applications that have been removed) and flashable zips like transition animations, latest PRI, radios and most important all the best and latest kernels. Well there's an update coming soon to the Mods/Patches section that will allow for automatic installation. What does all this mean? Well lets say you want to try out another kernel. No longer will you have to hunt online for the file. download it, transfer it to your sd, go to recovery, wipe, flash, and reboot. With this new version, all you need to do is tap the kernel you want, tap yes to install, and that's it. The phone will do the rest. It'll download the kernel, automatically wipe cache, automatically flash it, and reboot. Faster than you could ever do manually. This feature works for kernels, radios, PRI, future VaelPak ROM updates, screen transitions and whatever else Vaelek OTA's into that section. It's fast, it's convenient, and definitely revolutionary.

Why can't you load Vaelpak through Rom manager?

He has his reasons. Further updates will be available through the VaelPak settings. You wouldn't need ROM Manager to update his rom anymore. Until then, you can download it here VaelPak 2.3a

I have an older mac and flashing roms and such on it is dicey at best. Rom manager works really well for me except for no vaelpak support! Love cm6.1 though

Well once you're on VaelPak, you wouldn't need ROM Manage anymore.... You can always just download the ROM directly from your phone to your SD card btw...

The entries in the hosts file are for blocking ads by pointing all of those hosts to 127.0.0.1, which is the local ip for the phone.

Well Jerzy, i see how much u like Vaelpak so i decided to take it for a run. the battery was only at about 70% when installed and after 9 hours of usage using 4.1.9.1 it was still at 44%!.

this thing gets crazy battery life, cant wait to test it during a full day of work.
