HELP: I'm stuck

I tried rooting my Evo to simply apply some different icons.
When it rebooted, it got stuck in this loop where you would have to force close services over and over and over again.
I did some research and found that this was supposed to be cause by it not finding the correct layout. The fix was supposed to be to clear existing layout/setting.

I booted by holding the down button and selected "Clear Storage".

Now the phone wont boot regularly at all. It just says "Android" and does nothing more.

I suspect I got bad information and deleted the O/S.

How can I get this back now that my phone appears empty?

Any help would be appreciated more than I can say!

Your going to have to reflash it from your sd card. Download the zip and put it on your sd card. Then boot your phone into recovery and flash that zip from your sd.

Thank you so much for your help.
At the risk of starting a ROM debate, is there a certain one that is very stable that you would recommend?

If so, where would I get it?

Thank you again for your help!!!!

Ah... shoot. I thought I was getting closer.
I did as you said and applied one called "Supersonic_1.32.651.1_rooted".

The phone tries to boot now.
It displays the Sprint splash screen, but gets sucks in a loop. It just replays the splash screen and sound over and over and over again.

Any thoughts?

Did you wipe everything before you flashed?

I selected "Clear Storage" from the main root menu.
Then I flashed it with the "Supersonic_1.32.651.1_rooted" file.
It's prompts you to "Delete all user data?" yes/no. I selected Yes.

Is there another type of wipe that I need to do?

Ah... That was it. I went in and selected "Clear Cache" from the Recovery menu. Then reflashed with ""Supersonic_1.32.651.1_rooted".

Now it is working.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Nothing is worse than having an ill Evo! Mine was out of commission for about 3 hours last Saturday while something went wrong during a radio upgrade. My entire day was on hold until she was back up and running lol
