Ok, I'm pretty new so please dont burn me for any easy to answer questions. I've been looking for an answer to my problem for about 4 hours now to no avail.

I have an Evo 4G that I got in November 2010. I tried to root it today following a walkthrough on XDA developers and now my phone isn't booting past the white htc EVO 4G screen. I can get back into the boot loader so if it's a matter of flashing a different file or something I can do that.

I've been searching xda, on these forums and on AndroidForum and can find nobody with this problem that started out using Froyo. Any help would be most appreciated.

did the root work? do you see "s-off" up top at bootloader? did you wipe all the data? and did you flash a new rom?

It does say s-off at the top of the boot loader. It also says

According to the walkthrough I was initially using it said I should be able to boot into the rooted rom after copying the PC36IMG.zip file to the SD card, booting into hboot loader, letting it flash that file, then rebooting.

Let me know what I did wrong. I feel like it should be obvious. Thanks for responding so quickly.
