    Default Questions....

    Hey Guys!
When I tried to use Unrevoked 3 to root my phone,
it unlocked it to S-OFF but no root.....
I flashed Clockwork recovery via PC36IMG.zip or whatever it was called
and it worked... I obtained clockwork...
So now, I backed up that ROM without any root in it just in case...
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Fast forward... 1 month later...
    I'm using Myns2.2RLS5 with a kernel of netarchytoastmod4.1.9.1.....
Can I flash the ROM that didn't have root in it and get back to my
    old kernels, apps, etc?

    Thanks in advance!

    Edit:

One more question, will my old backup enable me to download software updates?

Well, I would make a Nandroid backup of the current setup.

You can flash the backup, but then you will loose root (until you flash another rooted ROM or restore the backup of this one).

Also, you could just download a ROM that has the stock apps (like Sprint Lovers, Calkulin's EViO 2) and put the apks out of the zip file for the ROM and install them on your current ROM (you will need to enable install from non-market sources).

If you want the HTC kernel, you can flash that. It's available on Myn's page.

If you want Sprint apps, it's in the Warm_Optional folder.

If you want a stock ROM, you can use the Sprint Lover's rom. The advantage of a stock rooted rom like that, is that it's fully zipaligned and deodexed--making it faster and more flexible than a factory ROM (and then subsequently rooted).
