Hey there, I was hoping someone, anyone could help me....

I have a rooted evo, have been rooted for months now. for 2 or 3 months ive been using azrael X version 3.whatever then flashed his ver4.0 last week. i also have been using netarchy 4.3 bfs havs more, with riptide9 v13 theme

my problems:
1)weather wont update when i drive from town to town, i usually have to manually hit refresh(i have synch checked, it should update itself with new locations, no?)...also, sometimes when i wake the phone at night, the weather on the home page will say partly cloudy when its 10pm...this has been going on forever and its annoying, do you think its the ROM, the Kernel, or the Theme? it should know where i am and what the weather is all the time...im in a 4g zone all the time, the phone is not acting the way it is built to act

2) i get voicemail notifications all day long, i have to go into settings>call>clear voicemail at least 10x a day, i read somewhere about updating sprints visual voicemail but dont know much about it...

3) the phone gets bogged down sometimes, i try to do more than 1 thing at once and it slows terribly, and often will stop responding and i get FC'd...the phone just doesnt respond like its firing all its cylinders

i love the sense rom, and i like being overclocked (1152mhz, no more)

can you help me with thoughts, ideas????

use Rom manager and fix permissions, see if that works

i have read not to use fix permissions...i read that is can cause problems...any truth to that...and if i do use fix permissions through ROM manager, what does that do exactly and how will it help me with my myriad of problems listed above??

my evo is working yours isnt, i do fix permissions. i think it just sync's everything in line. i dont have a tech background. did you back up your old ROM? if you did just go back and try to reflash what you want again.

Try a different rom, simple as nandroid backup, titanium backup, wipe and flash the rom of your choice. I suggest CM7, its AOSP but my favorite.

Agree with people above, try a new rom just make sure you do your back ups.... CM7 kicks major ***, but if you love sense my favorite sense based is Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo
