My wife changed her Google mail password yesterday. This morning there were no emails on the EVO. No problem I'll just change your password for your mail account on the phone. Nope, could not change. So I tried to delete the mail account and add back with the new password. No again, message said this account is tied to the phone you have to do a Factory Reset. If you do a Factory Reset all settings and Apps are lost. So then you spend the next hour reinstalling everything.
Did you ever hear of something so dumb? I know that is not true of my 2.2 rooted EVO as I've changed passwords. Now I'm not sure if I should blame Google or Sprint for this travesty. Although it will not be a problem if we never have to change a password again.
