4G won't turn on since 2.3.3 update

When I click my 4G widget and then goto settings/wireless settings, the 4G setting continues to read "Turning on...." but never connects.

Has anyone had this issue and is it fixable?

First thing that comes to mind, are you in a 4G coverage area?
I am in one and sometimes at work I have to go outside to connect.
Otherwise it says Turning On, or Scanning.

The other side could be bad data. The update might not have taken well and could need a hard reset.
You dont mention if it worked before the update. If it did and now its not, then a hard reset might be in order.
Or at least shut off the device for a bit and remove the battery. Say 5 minutes, then try again.

Or the update borked your wimax keys. If all else fails, do a factory reset after backing up what you need, and if that still doesn't fix it then take it to a sprint store that has 4g coverage.

I'd say a hard rest should fix it. But I would do a standard battery pull before hard reseting
