Default HTC Shift 4G has newer HTC Sense and EVO 4G doesn't?

My mom has the HTC EVO Shift and got the gingerbread update and I looked at it and it has a newer version of HTC Sense so I got excited and updated my HTC EVO 4G to Gingerbread and come to find it still has the same old HTC Sense. Why does the shift of all phones have a newer version of HTC sense and the OG EVO doesn't?

    Caleb

    Thanks

The shift is a more powerful phone believe it or not. I was upset about it too, but things happen. There is a huge developer support for the original evo so just root your phone and flash a sense 3.0 rom

That the Shift is more powerful. You wouldn't think it would be. I've rooted my phone before, it was allright but when I unrooted it, the battery was 200 tomes better. Don't think I'm going back.

Root access can help your battery. It all depends on what rom and kernel, you gotta be smart.

Root just gives you access to the Ferrari, its up to you to know how to drive it proper.

The Shift has an 800MHz processor, while the EVO 4G has a 1GHz processor... Just sayin...

I know that, but it doesn't mean the processor is older.

    Saw this on XDA:

    HTC EVO 4G: Sense 1
    HTC EVO Shift: Sense 2.1
    HTC Evo 3D: Sense 3

    That sounds like MARKETING?

The OG evos 1ghz processor is weaker than the 800mhz in the shift. Sorry dudes.

    That chart is right btw.

    Yes it is!

On a slightly off-topic note, I love your sig... That's one of my favorite Clarkson quotes.
