New Android Market

Sorry this question has probably been asked already.
I downloaded the new Android Market .apk
Not sure how I install it or where I put it on my phone.
Can anyone point me to instructions ?

Simple just go to your Internet, then menu then choose downloads, and then click on the Market apk that you downloaded, and it will ask you if you want to install.

Also make sure you have "Unknown Sources" checked off in Application settings.

If not go to settings, applications, and check the top box that says Unknown Sources.

Place the .apk file on the root of your SD card (not in any folder) so it's easy to find and use something like Astro Filer to install.

per Phandroid.com - the official Market update has been pushing out today. anybody see it yet for their EVO? i have not.

I haven't that's why I downloaded the .apk.
Wanted to wait for update but not seeing it.

i had downloaded the apk for the "NEW" market a while back but could not figure out how to update apps ... it seemed as if the the apk was not complete or something, if someone who installed the apk was able to update apps please let me know how you got it to work ... otherwise ill just wait for it to officially roll out to my device ! thanks in advance !

Funny thing is, I installed the Android Market on my Archos 43 and it updates right away to the "new" market. My EVO and tablet on the other hand haven't updated yet.....lol

could be location based updates ??? what area are you in ?? my evo has not updated yet im in the Los Angeles area .

Do I need to have GB to get this update? I chose not to update in June, and I haven't gotten any notification about an update to the Market.

You shouldn't have to update cause my Archos 43 has the updated market and it's running 2.2 still.

not to fond of the apk version. when updates available for and app with the apk i have to uninstall app then reinstall before i get option to update the app. an also wish the apps were order of download instead of alphabeical i w wait for offical update and see if it differs
