I'm running the gingerbread 2.3 and for some reason now I can't install apk files. My phone was acting up so the sprint store set it back to factory; I installed astro file manager and appinstaller but when downloading apk files from the evo itself, I keep getting the content unsupported message. Before I was on gingerbread, I had a different apk installer but I can't seem to find anything else in market other than the appinstaller (using the new market) and I have unknown sources checked.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you sure that the settings weren't suddenly changed to disallow downloading apps from unknown sources? Sometimes gremlins change my settings?

i have the same problem in Optumus 3d i cant install apk from sd or market before i can do it... any idea???
