Ok so I saw the recent video of full flash running on the n1 and I've read and heard that full flash will be "available starting June" but I haven't heard anything about the evo shipping with flash 10.1. Anybody know and have confirmation of this from any source?

The first post in this thread says the EVO will ship with 2.1.

2.2 is required to run Flash 10.1, so the EVO won't ship with it. When it will come is anyones guess :)

I see. Yea I knew about 2.1. Was unaware that 2.2 was the software requirement for full implementation. Thx. Oh well, Its not like there won't be plenty of other goodies out of the box to keep us busy in the meantime :]

Video chat service available as an upgrade to the pre-loaded Qik app to enable conversational, interactive, real-time sharing between mobile devices or from mobile-to-desktop

Does this mean I have to buy an upgrade of the pre-loaded Qik app to enable video chat etc, or does this mean the Qik app has been upgraded and pre-loaded on the stock EVO to allow video chat out of the box (free)?

well, the Qik app is normally free, and they are still working out the bugs in the software for the Evo specific portion. Its going to be a special version for the Evo, thats known. It will come pre-loaded.

I had not seen anywhere that shows it will come with an 8 GB card. Where did you find this out?

Thats what the consensus has been for a while. Its in the spec sheet on the first page of this thread as well. To be honest, a little disappointed that the HD2 gets a 16Gb card with videos pre-loaded and this is an 8GB card. I'll live though.... will need to upgrade card though if I plan on watching movies on it.

I am fairly excited to have a device that will have decent video playback standards... has xvid/avi been demoed/rumored/tested?

Simply an amazing phone.

I got the Incredible a couple of weeks ago and really like it and all.... but since I'm still within the 30 day trail period, I think I'll be considering going for the Evo when it comes out. I love the bigger screen since I am always using Google Maps and Google Earth...

That 4G capability is the deal-maker though...

Just spoke with a sprint AM. He said that word from corporate is that the phone won't have any backorder issues. Apparently They are/have been stock piling them for a while. I say there's probably some truth to that, as you usually let people whip into a frenzy over shortages of product.

Figured I'd add that to the known info about it.

To my understanding the Qik app is normally free but the updated version which allows for video conferencing is part of the mandatory $10 Evo fee.
