Very excited about the Evo. Price is right (even with the bonus $10). But what about an update to Froyo? You guys think that Sprint will let the Evo upgrade as soon as it comes out? Part of me say's "yes" because this is a flagship device. But you never know. The Google I/O is next week, I hope that answers the question. I was hoping that the big surprise they were talking about today would have been 2.2.

they said the Evo will be $450 off contract? sweet. I'm pretty sure it'll be $600 though.... nevermind, confirmed, $450 off-contract, its in the terms and conditions.

I'd love to believe this is true, but the link to the rumor in the article you cite goes to...wait for it...ozcarguide.

So although I'm hoping for a fast update, I'm not exactly holding my breath based on this evidence.

Yeah I rest my case. we won't be seeing 2.2 anytime soon, and when we do see it, there sure as heck won't be with the tethering included, at least IMO. at least without rooting it.
