Talking Sorry Phil. Traded your Nexus One for an Evo.

So for those who don't know, I am one of the winners of "Win Phil's Nexus" contest, and I've been using the Nexus as a VoIP phone since I didn't want to sign up with T-Mobile. I have an HTC Hero for Sprint and my wife and I are on a family plan that we want to keep.

The Nexus One is an amazing phone, but I really wanted an Evo. After seeing that everyone at Google I/O got an Evo, I looked on Craigslist, and sure enough, many people were selling theirs (for a lot of money) but there were a few asking for a trade for a Nexus One.

Long story short, I did an even trade with a guy who wanted the Nexus One badly and had no use for the Evo. We were both happy...win win!

So now I have the pleasure of setting up my new beast of a phone! Yes, Sunday will be fun :-)

Today was a very good day :-)

Who would pick a N1 over the Evo? Hmm, maybe to get the latest versions of Android faster? If I wasn't already on Sprint, I would switch to Sprint for the Evo, especially considering the choice of carriers one has with the N1. But....to each his own, and it sure looks like both of you are happy campers now. What a deal man, you basically got the Evo for free!

Hey Phil, I missed the podcast with the video unboxing, are you gonna post that video?

So I thought the same thing...who would trade an Evo for the Nexus? But the more I thought about it the more it made sense. He was on t-mobile and didn't plan to switch. Plus now he can get froyo which he was looking forward to, and he preferred the smaller size of the Nexus.

Now I'll have to wait for Froyo but I don't mind. :-)
